Todo parecer indicar que los MTV Video Music Awards, que se realizarán el 28 de agosto mostrarán algunos enfrentamientos más allá de la música. Varias sorpresas están por anunciarse, pero hay gran expectativa por el regreso de Britney Spears, además del «reencuentro» entre Beyoncé y Taylor Swift.
Rihanna también actuará en vivo en la ceremonia que será transmitida en vivo por MTV Latinoamérica desde el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York. La cantante recibirá el premio especial Michael Jackson Video Vanguard por su impacto de más de una década en la música, cultura pop, moda, películas y trabajos filantrópicos.
Luego de 10 años, la cantante de pop, Britney Spears, regresa al escenario de los MTV Video Music Awards 2016, en donde actuará en vivo al lado del rapero G-Eazy, para el estreno a nivel mundial del sencillo Make Me…, extraído de su noveno álbum de estudio Glory.
Beyoncé encabeza la lista de postulados con 11 candidaturas, seguida de Adele, que obtuvo ocho. Ambas competirán por el premio al Video del Año junto con Kanye West, Justin Bieber y Drake.
Kanye West está nominado a Mejor Vídeo del Año y a Mejor Vídeo Masculino. Taylor, en este caso, no tiene dominación alguna, pero al ser la gran ganadora del pasado año, seguro que aparecerá en la ceremonia.
Transmisión
Los MTV VMA 2016 serán transmitidos en vivo por MTV Latinoamérica desde el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York el domingo 28 de agosto a las 20:00 horas.
