Los jugadores del Leicester City rindieron homenaje este lunes al presidente del equipo, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, fallecido en un accidente de helicóptero.
La mujer del presidente, Aimon, y su hijo, Aiyawat, que además es vicepresidente del equipo, se unieron al acto y realizaron una ofrenda floral a las puertas del King Power Stadium, donde cientos de aficionados han depositado muestras de afecto al empresario tailandés.

Los familiares de Srivaddhanaprabha también se reunieron con jugadores y miembros del cuerpo técnico en el centro del campo y depositaron una corona de flores en el círculo central, antes de guardar un minuto de silencio.

Tras esto, Aiyawat recibió las condolencias, uno por uno, de todos lo jugadores de la plantilla.
Srivaddhanaprabha, de 61 años, falleció este sábado, junto a otras cuatro personas, cuando el helicóptero en el que abandonaba el King Power Stadium, se estrelló en el parking cercano al campo.

Debido al accidente, el Leicester ha pospuesto su partido de Copa de Liga que debía disputarse este miércoles contra el Southampton.

Srivaddhanaprabha compró el club por algo más de 40 millones de euros en 2010 y lo llevó hasta conquistar el título de liga en 2016.
