Hoy es un día muy especial para muchos niños del mundo, debido a que esperan todo un año esta fecha en la que se celebra el “Día de los Santos Reyes” en México y en otras partes del mundo. En este día los más pequeños de la familia reciben regalos de los “Reyes Magos ” a quienes en días anteriores les mandaron su carta por medio de un globo. El origen de los Reyes Magos viene de la Biblia católica y como tal en el texto sagrado no tienen nombre y solamente se les menciona como “sabios del Oriente”.
Estos sabios llegaron al nacimiento del niño Jesús, hijo de Dios y le dieron como regalo mirra, incienso y oro. Con los años estos personajes que forman parte de uno de los pasajes bíblicos más importantes, se convirtieron en los Reyes Magos. Realmente no se sabe si eran tres, debido a que en el texto no se aclara, pero como ofrecieron tres regalos, se designó que fueran tres reyes llamados: Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar.
